Advice Line

The Specialist Palliative Care Team, based in the Macmillan Unit are available Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5pm for advice. At all other times, including weekends and bank holidays, Overgate Hospice can be contacted for help and advice. Quite often a telephone call can help resolve a problem or prevent it escalating.

The nursing staff on duty are usually able to provide appropriate advice, also, there is always a Doctor on call whom they can readily contact if medical advice is required.

All calls received will be followed up by hospice staff the following day to ascertain whether the advice was helpful or whether any further support is required.
