Running Cost

At Overgate Hospice we know that we cannot add days to life but with your support, our care will add life to the days of our patients, helping people make the most of the time they have left.

Overgate Hospice running costs total £2.2 million a year. Of this sum the NHS makes a contribution of approximately 28%. The remaining money is raised by the generous people of Calderdale. This equates to a daily fundraising target of £6000 each and every day. We do not take this support for granted and sincerely appreciate the support we receive from our local community.  We work hard to maintain our running costs and are very careful about making sure our costs are contained.

All our care is provided free of charge.
