Secondary Schools

At the Hospice we know that secondary schools are quite big it can often be quite difficult to arrange fundraising events, we have lots of different 'easy' yet effective fundraising ideas for you to implement into your school term and as mentioned before please remember that the fundraising team will come along to any assembly and talk about Overgate and small groups are welcome to visit the Hospice for a tour and talk, please call Laura on 01422 387121 to discuss this.

Dress Down Day

Dress Down Days are a brilliant ways to raise money, all you need to do is ask your pupils to wear their 'normal' clothes or a certain item of clothing such as jeans and pay a £1 donation to Overgate. Overgate can provide posters and collection tubs, we even have our own annual Dress Down Day which you can join, this is our Denim Day and will be held Friday 21st May next year.

Recycling

Overgate Hospice recycle old mobile phones and stamps, these are then sent away and we receive money for doing this. Why not ask your pupils to bring in their old phones or collect stamps from their friends and family this will teach them about helping the environment and their own carbon footprint. We can provide you with posters and any information you need to get your collection started.

A - Z Fundraising

There are many different ways to fundraise for Overgate we have fundraising guides and even an A - Z of fundraising ideas if you get stuck for what to do. Please remember to send us any pictures or details of the fundraising you do and we can add them to our school news section.
