Physiotherapy

The aim of physiotherapy at Overgate Hospice is to aid patients gain and maintain safe and effective movement for as long as possible.

Physiotherapy is used to maintain and help mobility in order to improve quality of daily living. This is achieved via exercise programmes, the use of waking aids, looking after patient’s movement patterns whilst making sure that chests are effective as possible which helps stamina thus improving mobility.

Physiotherapy is occasionally used for home visit to help discharges be as smooth and safe as possible.

Physiotherapy is used for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions that are associated with palliative care.
