Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapist aims to assess all patients on admission to the Inpatient Unit and Day Hospice to identify the needs of the individual and agree a programme of treatment. Some of the care may be delivered by “physio helpers” under the direction of the Physiotherapist.  Some patients may only require advice and encouragement, but some might need extensive rehabilitation.

The physiotherapist will be able to advise family and carers on appropriate handling techniques and treatments they can continue to give at home.
