CARERS' GROUP

This service is available for carers of all patients involved with Overgate Hospice.

A carer is someone who provides help and support to a partner, relative, friend or neighbour, who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability. You may be a wife, husband, partner, friend, parent, son or daughter. 
 

Aims of the Carers' Group


• To provide information and support
• To reduce your anxieties associated with caring for a loved one
• To provide a meeting place so you can meet others in similar situations to discuss coping
strategies etc.

• Peer support
• Programmed information and discussions
• Complementary therapies
• Relaxation
 

When does the group meet?


Our Carers Group meets every other Tuesday evening from 6-8:30pm in the Day Hospice.
