We have been fundraising for this project privately for a number of years and we are delighted to announce that we have already secured £12.25 million to make our redevelopment plans a reality. This has been raised through donations and pledges, as well as the Hospice investing funds from our reserves.

This Hospice investment has been made possible thanks to the success of our income generation activities in recent years, careful financial planning and some significant legacy gifts.

However, we now need our community’s help to raise the remaining £500,000 to turn our vision into a reality. Whether you contribute individually, as a family, through your company, or charitable trust, your generosity will push us towards our £12.75 million goal, ensuring the new Hospice opens its doors by Spring 2026.

We're pleased to confirm that planning permission has been successfully obtained for the Overgate Big Build project. Construction is scheduled to start in March 2025, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in our efforts to improve end-of-life care in Calderdale.

Throughout the construction process, we'll keep our community informed of the progress every step of the way. Our brand new, state-of-the-art Inpatient Unit will be ready to care for patients in Spring 2026, with our bigger, more flexible Day Hospice opening in Autumn 2026.
