After Accident Care Team

We are a small team based in Sowerby Bridge, offering after care services to cyclists following road traffic accidents.  We offer a 24 Hour accident hotline with recovery and roadside legal advice.  Road-side recovery is back to your home or to a cycle shop of the person’s choosing.  We work with a team of cycle accident specialist solicitors who can assist in personal injury and out of pocket expense claims and provide a full national after accident care service including bicycle repair, replacement or rental service.  Additionally a national network of medical assessment and physiotherapy following accidents.

Happy Days Cycles and Halifax Calder Rotary

Happy Days Cycles in Sowerby Bridge is one of our sponsors for the Winter Mountain Bike Challenge.
Happy Days Cycles is a social enterprise selling new and pre-loved donated bikes and bike accessories from its shop on Town Hall Street, along with maintenance and servicing. All proceeds support the community living initiatives of the Happy Days charity, which provides supported accommodation for the homeless.
It’s great to have the support of Happy Days which is such a well-known local name in cycling and another fantastic community organisation that works hard for the people of Calderdale.
In the run up to the event the shop will be well stocked with helmets and accessories – not to mention bikes for those who need them to make sure they’re challenge ready.
The Happy Days Cycles team will be there on the day to cheer on the cyclists and help out with any last minute technical hitches they might have.
Happy Days Cycles is offering Mountain Bike Challenge participants a pre-event bike check for the special price of £10.

Halifax Calder Rotary are proud to have been involved supporting Overgate Hospice in many ways over the years. Our annual commitment to support the Mountain Bike Challenge by providing marshals, support for riders and feed stations around the route has been going on for so long we can’t put a date on when we started doing this. The Mountain Bike Challenge brings novice and experienced riders together to challenge themselves by completing a tough route taking them through local countryside, moors and not forgetting the hills and valleys. It is always exhilarating for the riders but to be able to support such a worthy group of people who all have one goal, to raise money for Overgate Hospice, is a humbling but rewarding experience for us.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to work in partnership with the magnificent team at Overgate. We are proud to be associated with Overgate and support their events whenever we can.
