After years of private fundraising and significant investment from the Hospice, we are now in the incredible position of launching our Big Build Appeal to our community. £9.7m of our £12.75m total has already been raised, which means we are able to go public with our Big Build Appeal to help us raise the rest.
A huge part of our fundraising efforts so far has been in approaching trusts and foundations for significant donations. Many trusts and foundations have extremely thorough processes, and receiving a yes or no answer can then affect the success of future applications with various trusts.
In June 23 we were thrilled to hear we had been successful following an application to the Wolfson Foundation for funding towards the project. The Wolfson Foundation’s aim is also to promote excellence in the areas they fund, often making grants as a catalyst to generate more support and help to attract other funding. We have received a grant of £125,000 towards the Capital Redevelopment project, which is incredible, but because of their approval of our project, we are able to raise so much more.
We are sincerely thankful for their belief in our mission and for joining us in making a lasting difference to the people of Calderdale.
