Big Raffle for the Big Build – would you like to be £5,000 richer?

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Big Raffle!

Members of the community can show their support for this winter whilst being in with a chance of winning not one, but three fantastic prizes.

First prize is £5,000; the second and third prizes are luxury hampers. Tickets are £1 each or £10 for a book; they are available from the Hospice, any of Overgate’s charity shops, and the Overgate Hospice website.
All cash and counterfoils need to be returned to Overgate Hospice (30 Hullen Edge Road, Elland, HX5 0QY) by Friday 21^st February 2025. The draw will take place at 2pm on Friday 28^th February 2025.

Dru Brown, Capital Campaign Fundraiser, said: “We are so excited to announce the launch of the Big Raffle. As the raffle is open until the end of February 2025, why not treat a loved one to a book of tickets as a Christmas stocking filler or even a Valentine’s Gift! Maybe they’ll share the prize with you if they’re one of our lucky winners.”

The money raised from ticket sales will go towards our Big Build Appeal. The Big Build represents a significant milestone for the Hospice, providing an opportunity to expand and enhance our services to better meet the needs of patients and their families throughout Calderdale. The Hospice publicly launched the Big Build Appeal in April 2024. The transformational £12.75 million redevelopment of the Hospice site will entail building a new purpose-built 16-bed Inpatient Unit and significantly expanding and upgrading the Day Hospice facilities. The funds raised will play a crucial role in making this vision a reality, ensuring that Overgate Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care for future generations.
