Calderdale Businesses headed to the course last Friday at Bradley Hall Golf Club to support Overgate Hospice. Over 55 teams teed up for a day on the course and raised an incredible £17,500 to support the vital care that we provide to the people of this community.

The day ended with winning team Turbo Precision Components local automotive engineering company holding up the trophy in the sun.

Smith Brothers Contracting Ltd and Highbury Homes were proud to be the headline sponsors of the event this year. Having been long-term supporters of the Hospice, both companies have each generously donated their time and money in various ways to ensure local people will continue to have a safe haven to turn to when they need the special care that we provide.

Business Partnerships Manager, Becki Marren said: ‘We would like to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful headline sponsors Smith Brothers Contracting and Highbury Homes, Half Way tent sponsor D Sales and first tee sponsor Pride and Provenance for supporting us year after year and to all the fantastic businesses who have booked a team or sponsored a tee board. It was great to see everyone come out to support their local Hospice.’

John Smith, Director of Smith Brothers Contracting Ltd said: ‘Smith Brothers are very proud to sponsor the Overgate Golf Day for the second year running. The work the Hospice does is invaluable for both patients and their families in our local community so we are delighted that we are able to support them. A number of our staff also have personal connections to the hospice, which makes our involvement in the 2022 event even more special.
