Catering

Introduction

The catering department provides a daily service for patients, staff and volunteers. All food is homemade to a high standard using local produce with the catering team holding a five star hygiene rating from Calderdale Council.

The catering team interact a great deal with patients, whilst providing great food they also offer a different face and person to talk to outside of the clinical area.

The catering department are supported by a team of volunteers who help from serving meals to washing up.

Inpatient Unit

The Inpatient Unit has a wide choice of meals available. The patients are provided with a daily menu including starters, mains and desserts. If asked, the menu can be adjusted in accordance with specific dietary requirements.

Day Hospice

Day Hospice patients receive a daily menu and the choice of a 3 course meal, of course if this is too much they can have a simple sandwich.

Relative Facilities

Relatives and visitors are free to make their own tea and coffee, there is also a large fridge cabinet where fresh sandwiches and snacks are available to buy.

There is also a menu available on the reception desk compromising of a selection of assorted meals.

If a relative would like a lunch which is served on the ward simply ask the catering staff a suitable time beforehand and one may then be purchased.

We also have a coffee machine in reception for visitors.
