Physiotherapy

The aim of Physiotherapy in the hospice setting is to help patients maintain their independence and quality of life for as long as possible.  The Physiotherapist will work with patients to identify their goals then together will formulate plans and strategies that will enable them to work towards achieving them

Who can access this service?

 

Any patient known to Overgate with a life limiting illness can access this service. It is not limited to patients with a cancer diagnosis but for those with respiratory conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), neurological conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and cardiology conditions such as heart failure no matter the stage of illness.
