Overgate Hospice provides expert care, support, advice and information for patients and their families, carers and loved ones.
We care for people over the age of 18 who have a terminal illness or a long term condition that cannot be cured, also known as life-limiting. Our 12-bed Inpatient Unit (IPU) provides end-of-life care, symptom control and respite care, with 34% of our IPU patients being discharged to the comfort of their own home with their symptoms managed.
Our Day Hospice provides expert care, advice, support and signposting for those in the community who are living with their illness but not yet at the end of their lives.
The care we provide is free of charge, and we are proud to be inclusive of all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. All are welcome to receive our care when they need it.
We practise a holistic approach to care which is overseen by our multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors, therapists, social workers, chaplain, and counsellors.
