At our recent Christmas Carol Concert, the Overgate Hospice Choir raised over £10,000 for the Hospice. Once again, this beloved annual event held at the Halifax Minster sold out. The Choir was accompanied by Hammonds Band and the congregation enjoyed a full programme of beautiful carols and readings throughout the evening. The event was attended by Hospice supporters, the Mayor of Calderdale, and esteemed dignitaries.

The Overgate Hospice Choir has announced their next concert, which will be a collaboration concert between themselves and the Hospice Hi-Notes. The concert named ‘Hope Springs in Song’, will be held at All Saints Church, Elland, on the 2nd March 2024 and tickets can be bought via the Overgate Hospice website. The concert promises a repertoire of uplifting music with an audience participation song and refreshments at the interval.

Carol Armitage, chairman for Overgate Hospice Choir said ‘As a collective, we take pride in being part of the choir, crafting and delivering memorable concerts, and lending our support to the Hospice. Our recent carol concert surpassed our expectations, raising over £10,000, marking the highest amount we’ve ever raised at a single event. We extend heartfelt thanks to the community for joining us on this special evening and contributing to this remarkable achievement.’
