Overgate Hospice have partnered with the Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield NHS trusts to implement the new ReSPECT process for our patients. ReSPECT stands for Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment.

The ReSPECT process creates a summary of personalised recommendations for a person’s clinical care in a future emergency in which they do not have capacity to make or express choices.

ReSPECT is available for everyone, but will especially benefit individuals who have long term, life-limiting, degenerative conditions, palliative diagnoses, and for patients at the end of their lives.

If you would like to learn more about ReSPECT, please download the leaflet below, visit https://www.wypartnership.co.uk/our-priorities/long-term-conditions/palliative-care-and-end-life-support/respect or call us on 01422 379151.
