Care Provided During Our Big Build Project
We are so proud to continue our usual standards of excellent inpatient care at the Hospice in Elland throughout the building project, and will only have to reduce our bed capacity by a small number from late summer 2025.
As part of the necessary building work to achieve our goals, we will be reducing from 12 beds to 11 on 8th August 2025. We will then reduce to 10 beds on 29th August 2025. These changes may result in a modest increase in waiting times for admission, but we will continue to do our very best to admit patients as soon as we possibly can.
We are very grateful for your understanding during this transitional phase, and we look forward to opening the doors to our new inpatient unit in Spring 2026.
Our new Hospice will ensure even better support for the people of Calderdale by providing more hospice beds, all of which will be in individual rooms, meaning more privacy and dignity for every patient.
