Overgate Hospice has been caring for the people of Calderdale for over 40 years and has become a valued institution for Calderdale’s population of over 211,000 people. Anyone with a life limiting illness within our catchment area can be referred to access our services free of charge at any stage of their diagnosis.
We live in a wonderfully diverse part of the UK and respect the individual beliefs and customs of all our patients, accommodating their needs where possible.

Overgate Hospice receives incredible support from the Calderdale community who organise fundraising, participate in our events, give donations, raise sponsorship, and donate and spend in our Charity Shops. We also have amazing support from an army of volunteers who give their time and skills each day. Without this support, we would not be able to provide the high level of expert care that we give to our patients and their families.

Our relationship with our community is key to our success and we are constantly finding new ways to engage with people who need our services via our outreach programme which provides education, Day Hospice, community engagement and advice via regular Hub meetings.
