Can I do my work experience with Overgate Hospice?

Yes however numbers are limited so please apply at least 3 months prior to the date of your work experience. Please fill in the work experience application form. You will be invited to attend an informal interview and an induction prior to commencing the work experience.

Can I park my car at the Hospice?

If attending training at Overgate Hospice we would really appreciate if you could park your car at Elland cricket club which is just across the road from the Hospice.

Can I purchase lunch during training?

If the training session is at the Hospice you can buy some food at reception. There is a selection of sandwiches and light snacks. If the training session is all day, you are welcome to order a warm meal at the start of the day.

How much do courses cost?

All courses are free of charge, however we do appreciate if you could let us know if you cannot attend so that we can offer the course to another person that might be on the waiting list.

I am a student; can I attend one of your courses?

Yes, you are welcome to put in an application to do one of the courses. You will receive an email confirming if you have a place.

Where is the training delivered?

Some of the training is delivered at Overgate Hospice. The verification of death training is delivered at Huddersfield royal infirmary. All posters will say where the training is going to be delivered at.
