Our Retail Team suffered a blow this summer when our Elland charity shop was broken into and vandalised in the early hours of the morning. Whilst this was both shocking and upsetting it is the response and reaction of you, our community that we want to focus on as we were overwhelmed by your support.
Not only did we receive over £2,250 in donations to help fund the repairs but we were also supported by MBE Reactive who secured the shop; Rhodes Joinery who carried out temporary repairs to allow us to reopen, and Halifax Security who installed a new security system free of charge. It is always sad when something like this happens but at the same time it demonstrates the overwhelming kindness of our community.
