Residents of Sowerby Bridge can celebrate that we are finally opening up a charity shop there after five years without a presence on the high street. The shop is the third and newest of the Little Stars shops, selling children and babies clothes, toys, and furniture. The new Little Stars shop is located on Wharf Street and will be open from the 11th July!

Our Head of Retail, Tracey Broadbent, said “We are so excited to get our charity shop back into Sowerby Bridge, and even more exciting that it is one of our Little Stars shops which have been so successful for us already in Brighouse and Elland. We care for patients across Calderdale including those from Sowerby Bridge, Ripponden and its surrounding areas so it’s wonderful to have a presence on the high street in Sowerby Bridge once again and we can’t wait to meet our new customers.”

The shop will be open Monday - Saturday and will gladly accept donations. The Hospice raises over £1m per year through our retail enterprises, so every penny spent in their shops really does make the biggest difference to local families in need of the Hospice’s special care.

Sharon Quinn (pictured outside the new shop on the left) is the Retail Area Manager for Overgate Hospice and is excited to fill the new shop full of wonderful pre-loved items, “We have already received an amazing amount of donations to fill our shop with a large selection of good quality items that will find new homes. We are in constant need of donations for all our Little Stars shops, so please do think of Overgate Hospice when your child has outgrown their clothing or toys.”
