Overgate are very excited to launch our brand new community campaign for Summer 2019 – our Open Gardens!
This summer we are inviting you to get in touch with your green-fingered side and open your garden to help raise vital funds for Overgate Hospice. From allotments, patios and secret gardens to grand flower beds, fountains and orchards, we welcome an array of gardens for the community to enjoy. This exciting new campaign will not only raise awareness and funds for the Hospice but it will also encourage people to explore the beauty of Calderdale, experience nature and meet other gardening lovers.
To get involved simply register your garden and then get planning your event! We ask that you charge a small admission fee to help fundraise for Overgate Hospice and then you may want to sell refreshments and cakes, hold a plant stall or a craft stall or promote the Hospice’s forthcoming events.
We will provide you with all the materials you need as well as support and advice throughout your Open Garden journey. We will also send you a pack with helpful gardening tips and sunflower seeds for you to plant in your garden.
If you register your garden by Monday 6th May you will also feature in our Open Garden brochure.
