As many families start to plan for Christmas, the Hospice has been busy planning a range of fundraising activities to support the care that our nursing teams will provide over the festive period. The current financial crisis has also prompted us to reassess each campaign and event to ensure that we continue to raise as much money as possible for the Hospice.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Christmas Treecycling campaign. In previous years, we have collected over 5,000 trees, which takes a significant amount of staff time and Hospice resource. This means that the campaign is no longer financially viable for the Hospice.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has previously supported our Treecycling campaign. Each year, these donations have made a huge difference to the families in our care over the Christmas period. We would like to extend our thanks to the huge team of volunteers who have supported us with the tree collections, alongside the local businesses who have previously donated staff time and vehicles.

There are still a variety of ways to support the Hospice this Christmas, including taking part in our Christmas Raffle, supporting our Christmas Jumper Day or purchasing Overgate Christmas cards.
