Overgate Hospice and Happy Days have come together for the second year to host The Big Ride Home, a cycle ride like no other that will raise money for both charities.

The ride will take place over the 14th, 15th and 16th of September 2023 on a scenic route from Brighouse to Morecambe, then through to historic Harrogate before returning to Brighouse for the finish. Riders will cycle 270 miles over the three days, while taking in the beautiful English countryside and glittering coast.

Last year, the event saw 40 cyclists take on the challenge and raised £30,000 which was equally split between both charities. This year, the organisers hope to raise even more.

The challenge is also kindly sponsored by local business, The Mazery, who sponsored last year. Stephen Brighton, volunteer for both charities and creator of the route says “The Big Ride Home route is all ready for our participants and me and the team are excited to support them every step/peddle of the way. The cyclists will be seeing some amazing views, making some wonderful friends and supporting two fantastic charities on the three-day route.”

Places are limited and registration closes on 31st July so to secure your place, call Overgate Hospice on 01422 387121 or visit www.overgatehospice.org.uk
